Training….. sort of

I’m extremely bored here at the training, the class suppose to be helpful for my next exam and since my department is paying for it ($2250) , I think I’ll take advantage of it. But so far it is going over things that I already know 5 years ago, those in the class are all 4-50yrs old and I looked odd sitting here. Most of them are from public services such as caltran, PG&E…etc, I’m shocked that their department are relying on these people especially when they say they are using servers that are almost 7-8 years old. (running NT4.0 and novell network as oppose to server 2003 and active directory) I have nothing against them, just that when I think our informations (SSN, CC number) are going through these makes me poop >< . I now know why company needs to layoff employees especially who worked there for a long time, because they are not improving at all…. On the bright side, the instructor sounds knowledgeable and easy to go along with. Hopefully things will get better as the week goes on (4 more days).
HK trip is counting down and I feel I’m ready for a vacation 
Me and Mag has been on FF for things other than leveling (except for me that i’m lvling my blm for fun). We are lvling our NPC too, it’s fun and fast since they only last 15 fights and me and mag can PL them with our 60 jobs. /congrat to Mag’s NPC Zenji for reaching lvl 31! /hurray

Just a reminder for a Discussion going on at the Forum about our direction after lvl60. Head over and post your comments ^^ . Also if you are interested in typing Japanese in your FFXI client, post a comment, I’ll try to write up a tutorial. A new windower plugin has made it possible to type Japanese in FFXI including Bazaar and Search Comment!!! I tested and it works with some limitation.
New Addition!

This post is to brag about my new additions. I tried not to spend alot of $$ since me and maggie is going back to HK in November as well as a trip to Taiwan. Mag just bought me this ultra rare (and expensive) gear for my new PSP.
Almost as much as PSP itself, can’t believe it but really appreciate the afford and heart behind this. All of the storage area is nicely thought of, now I can store my headphones/UMD/Backup Battery and USB Power adapter altogether.

Now this is what I got besides the PSP and Logitech PSP Speakers — Logitech MX 5000 Bluetooth Desktop. I’ve longed to buy this even skipped my favorite MX3100 for 6 months to wait for this release.
Well, enough for bragging (actually I’ll have more if I’m not too lazy), Hope you guy still read my Blog not just go to the forum directly hehe. Leave a comment guys
P.S. I think I really should look for a logitech job, consider I have 2 sets of speakers/subwoofers, 3 keyboard/mouse combos, psp speakers … speaking of loyal customer…..
Major FFXI Update!!!!!! New Expansion Pack and…..

There are some bits of info on a handful of Japanese sites from small interviews done with the PR team that Square-Enix has available at the show:
As expected, the Treasures of Aht Urhgan expansion pack will feature at least one new job, new zones, and new storylines.
When asked about whether there will be multiple new jobs, the answer was that “there probably will be, but they could be combined”, lending weight to the speculation that the new job shown may have Geomancer/Elementalist features as well.
The use of level-capped areas is being looked at but isn’t decided yet, based on looking at how they worked in the Chains of Promathia expansion.
A new director has been put in place for this expansion; map designer Kouichi Ogawa will be heading up Treasures of Aht Urhgan.
The beta test of the Xbox 360 version of FFXI will include up to Chains of Promathia but not Treasures of Aht Urhgan; presumably, the new expansion will be coming out sometime next year, after the X360 FFXI is already up and running.
On the same vein, the North American beta for X360 FFXI is being scheduled with Microsoft, based around the release of the Xbox 360. It is undecided whether the Japanese beta for the game will happen at the same time or not, since the X360 is being released a few weeks later there.

Basically, can’t wait to see what the new job will offer. Aside from FFXI, I have tweaked the site a little bit, should be easier to navigate now and less boring look. I also just purchased a PSP, big thanks to Tkclement for his help and knowledge (and shared resources hehe).

Passed the first exam and now officially becomes a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), test was hard even in the stuff that I think I know very well, they just want you to fail the exam by confusing you with the questions and with 6-7 choices. Well, I’m done with it and can relax a bit now, but me and mag are moving on the 20th so no time to waste again….but will still FF once the god damn update is over….seems like everyone has been busy lately, hopefully we’ll be playing together again shortly. And Mag, forget those people who have no sense of your talent, things can only go better when it is worst, and we have brilliant ideas, maybe we can use our creativities to do something way beyond normal working lives, but we need to be patient and wait for the opportunity to open. (Like getting AF from coffer) The returns are going to be extroadinary. Okay, sounds like I need a break, otherwise I might come up with a poem next
